About
A native of Southern Maryland, Christopher began his musical journey in high school performing with his school's chamber choir under the direction of Mrs. Kylie Teston and chamber orchestra under the direction of Mr. John Oplinger. During the summers he performed with the River Concert Series Chorus at St. Mary's College of Maryland under the direction of Brian Ganz. Inspired by local musicians, he decided to pursue his Bachelor of the Arts in Vocal Performance at Ave Maria University in Southwest Florida. In his undergraduate studies, he studied under the direction of Dr. Taylor Ferranti (Voice) and performed for Ave Maria University as a multi-instrumentalist/singer for string and barbershop quartets and an Irish band. An accomplished baritone-bass singer, he placed third in the upper-college division of TBNATS in 2020, and has performed for the university's opera productions of Amahl and the Night Visitors (Balthazar) and A Game of Chance (The Representative).
It was also during this time that he completed a course of conducting under the direction of Dr. Brice Gerlach and found a passion for conducting. After graduation he worked as a music teacher and music minister in Naples and Lakeland, Florida from 2020-2022. During this time, he was accepted to attend Shenandoah Conservatory in Virginia to pursue a Master of Music in Choral Conducting Degree. In the Fall of 2022, he began his masters degree where he studied with Dr. Austin Thorpe, Dr. Richard Robbins, Dr. Shaun Evans, and Dr. Timothy Robblee and most notably performed with the Shenandoah Conservatory Chamber Choir at La Biennale di Venezia. In subsequent years, he performed the role of Peter Quince is Benjamin Britten's A Midsummer Night's Dream under the directions of Jan Wagner and Ella Marchment and in the ensemble of Dmitri Shostakovich's Moscow, Cheryomushki under the directions of maestro Emmanuele Andrizzi. He traveled to Spain and Portugal in the Fall of 2024 to perform in George Friederich Handel's Acis and Galatea.
He maintains an active performance role with local community theaters, parishes and community choirs.

Christopher Limjuco believes that choral music reaches its highest potential when technical excellence and human connection are held in equal balance. His approach centers on cultivating clarity of sound, unified intention, and expressive storytelling, allowing singers to engage deeply with the music and with one another. Grounded in disciplined vocal technique and informed musical interpretation, his rehearsals prioritize efficiency, curiosity, and shared ownership of the artistic process.
Committed to professional-level collaboration, Limjuco views the choir as a collective of individual artists, each contributing voice, insight, and responsibility. He seeks to foster rehearsal environments that challenge musicians while remaining musically generous and respectful, resulting in performances that are both precise and emotionally resonant. Through this work, he aims to create choral experiences that serve the music with integrity, invite audiences into meaningful reflection, and elevate the standard of ensemble artistry.
